How to Extract Pages From Pdf in Windows
There are occasions that you might look for ways and see how to extract pages from a PDF document, either a single page or specific range of pages. In this article we are going to cover this issue within the windows environment. A PDF document is a document type which was introduced by Adobe in early 90s, and the term stands for Portable Document Format, which is capable of preserving the document style and embed fonts, regardless of the device type or operating system on which it will be viewed.
In the early days, the only way to view a PDF document was to use the Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe’s native PDF viewer. But later on, other free and commercial software solutions were released for different operating systems, and each of them offered various features and capabilities, and most of them proved to be efficient for creating, viewing and editing PDF documents. Windows does not recognize and open PDF documents by default, however most of the common web browsers are capable of opening and viewing PDF documents in the windows OS family, including Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera browser.
Besides the above-mentioned web browsers, there are specific free tools for viewing PDF documents, such as Adobe Reader, Foxit PDF, Javelin PDF Reader, Nitro Reader, and SumatraPDF, which can only open and view documents, and lack some professional and editing features. You can find more free tools online. Though if you look for further capabilities and features, you might need to check on some of the commercially available software solutions, i.e., Adobe Acrobat Professional, Foxit Phantom PDF, PDF-XChange Editor, and Nitro PDF Pro. These solutions have their own differences, but almost all of them feature common effective and extensive capabilities such as editing text and image, signing and securing documents, building and filling forms, reviewing and annotating, combining multiple files, creating and organizing PDF documents.
You can decide to choose any of them by considering your needs and desired capabilities, the price, user interface differences, resource allocation and system requirements of each software, and any other preferences you may have.
