How to Manage Tidal Offline Content
Jan 20, 2021 · 10 minute read
Nowadays, one of the issues we face when we use music platforms is the network connection. Although we have access to the internet almost everywhere, it may still happen to not find network connection in some places. If this happens, we will not be able to listen to music on the music streaming apps. The other problem is the cost of the cellular internet service which is normally higher than the Wi-Fi internet. Meaning, if you listen to music at home or in a place with a Wi-Fi connection will be way less expensive than listening to music through your device’s cellular data service. One solution to this problem is to use the offline mode in music streaming platforms like TIDAL. TIDAL platform provides the offline mode to solve the online streaming problems. If you want to have access to TIDAL content without a network connection, you need to enable the offline mode on your TIDAL account. Note that, you cannot use the offline mode option on a free TIDAL account, and you have to upgrade your account to a Premium or HIFI subscription in order to have access to this useful feature.
NOTE: You may use the TIDAL app only on your PC or Mac. Unfortunately, you cannot listen to music through TIDAL desktop app offline. This feature is available in TIDAL mobile apps as we explained. If you want to use the desktop app, you need to have internet access. Also, it may happen that you do not have the TIDAL app on your device. You can use the Web Client which is the web version of the TIDAL platform. But you need to have access to the internet, and you cannot have access to your TIDAL’s offline content through Web Client.
