How to Block and Unblock Content in Tidal

Sometimes when you are using the Tidal app you don’t like to follow specific artists anymore or you do not want to see specific songs on your devices, in this situation when you are using the Tidal web client you can use this command to Block them. also, you can manage block artists and songs on the Tidal app on other devices too, Here we are going to explain how to block and unblock songs and artists in the Tidal app and how to manage blocked contents too.

You have the block option in TIDAL platform. You can use this feature to block tracks and artists. When you block a track, you will not see the track in your lists or any other list. Also, by blocking an artist, you will not be able to see any content from the blocked artist anymore. There is another option to manage your block list on TIDAL. You can unblock the content you have blocked previously through your TIDAL account settings.

Note that You are not allowed to block the TIDAL content using all types of TIDAL apps. You can only use TIDAL Web Client, which is the web version of TIDAL platform, to block tracks or artists. Continue reading to learn the content blocking and unblocking on TIDAL.

How to Block Tracks on TIDAL.

If you do not want any tracks to be on your TIDAL account, you need to block them. Once you block a track, podcast, or video, it will disappear from your TIDAL until you unblock it again. To learn the track blocking process, follow the steps in conjunction with the instructional pictures below:

  1. Go to listen.tidal.com

  2. Log into your account.

  3. Search the song title you wish.

  4. Click on the three-dot sign by the selected song.

  5. Select Go to Track Radio option.

  6. Find the selected track at the top of the playlist.

  7. Click on the block sign.

  8. Choose the Block Track or Block Artist option.

As you can see in the picture below, when you click on the three-dot sign next to each track, a menu will be shown that has the Go to Track Radio option. By choosing the Go to Track Radio option, another menu will open in which you need to select the Go to Track Radio option.

After you go to the Track Radio page (the image below), you will see the block icon next to each track. By clicking on the icon, a menu will be shown consisting of Block track, and Block artist options. To block the track, you need to choose the Block track option.

How to Block Artists on TIDAL.

You have the option to block artists in TIDAL. By blocking the artists, you will not be able to see their music on your TIDAL account until you remove them from your block list again. In order to block artists, you need to visit TIDAL Web Client, and you cannot do the process through TIDAL apps.

Follow the instructions below to block an artist on TIDAL:

  1. Go to listen.tidal.com

  2. Log into your TIDAL account.

  3. Search the artist name and move the cursor over their image.

  4. Click on the three-dot sign and then select Go to Artist Radio.

  5. Find a track by the artist you want to block at the top of the playlist.

  6. Click on the block sign.

  7. Choose Block Track or Block Artist option.

Second method to block artists in TIDAL:

Look at the picture below, you can also block an artist through their tracks. When you click on the three-dot sign next to the name of the track, a menu will be shown that has the Go to Track Radio option. By choosing the Go to Track Radio option, another menu will open in which you need to select the Go to Track Radio option, again.

Once you visit the Track Radio page (the image below), you will see the block icon next to each track. By clicking on the icon, a menu will be shown consisting of Block track, and Block artist options. To block the artist, you need to choose the Block artist option.

How to Manage Blocked Content Using the TIDAL App.

Despite the blocking process which could be done only through Web Client, you can unblock and manage the blocked content using the TIDAL apps including the desktop, iOS, and android app. To manage your blocked content, launch the TIDAL app on your device, then follow the steps below. Some pictures are provided for a clearer understanding:

  1. Go to My Collection section

  2. Click on the Settings icon.

  3. In the My Content section, select Blocked.

As you can see in the picture, in the streaming tab, you will see the My content section, which has the Blocked option. By selecting the Blocked option, you will be directed to another page (look at the next picture).

  1. In the Blocked section you can view and manage your blocked content.

Your blocked content is sorted by the type including tracks, videos, and artists. Choose the tap you want. Next to each content you will see the Unblock option.

After choosing the Unblock option, a pop-up message will appear on the screen, as you can see in the image below, by choosing the OK button the content will be removed from your block list.

How to Manage TIDAL Blocked Content Using Web Client.

If you do not have the TIDAL app available on your device, you can use Web Client to manage the blocked content in your TIDAL account. Follow the instructions below and use the step-by-step instructional pictures to complete the procedure more easily.

  1. Go to listen.tidal.com

  2. Log into your account.

  3. Click on the three-dot sign and choose Settings.

  4. Select Streaming.

  5. In the My Content section, choose Blocked.
