How to Add Music to Your Library on Spotify.

You can save songs, artists, and albums in Your Library. Also, you can make your own playlists here.

you can find Your Library in your menu bar.

If you use tablet/mobile app, Your Library has an icon (see the picture below).

How to Add Music to Your Library in Tablet/Mobile App

You can add songs, playlists, albums, and artists to Your Library in two ways:

1. By tapping the heart icon.

2. By tapping FOLLOW.

How to Download Songs on Spotify.

To download music on Spotify you need to have Premium account. You are not able to listen to music on Spotify Free in Offline Mode.

After upgrading your account to Premium, follow the steps to download music:

1. choose the album, or playlist you want to download.

2. tap the download icon.

3. When the download finishes successfully the icon becomes green.

How to Get Your Music on Spotify.

Your music needs to be delivered by a recording company or a distributor. If you already have signed a contract with a company, they will deliver your music to Spotify. You can also find a distributor or arrange distribution yourself. Also, you can go to https://artists.spotify.com/directory/distribution in order to find your suitable distributor from recommended Spotify distributors.

How to Put a Song on Spotify.

Follow these steps to add your music files into Spotify:

1. Click settings.

2. You will see Show Local Files option in Local Files section. Switch it on.

3. Click “ADD A SOURCE”.

4- Choose your folder.

NOTE: you can manage your local files by switching on/off in Settings. (see the picture below)

How to Link Spotify to Google Home.

Follow the steps:

1. Your device need be connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Google device is.

2. Go the Google Home app.

3. Select Account in the top-right.

4. Go back on the home screen, and select + in the top-left, then tap Music and audio.

5. Choose Spotify and select Link Account

6. Log in to your Spotify account.

NOTE: you can control your Linked Spotify with voice commands. Start your command with “Ok Google” then end it with “On Spotify”. Example: “Ok Google, play today’s hits playlist on Spotify.”

How to Use Multiple Spotify Accounts on Google Home.

You need to connect All Google Home accounts to Spotify, then use Google Voice Match. Your account will work only with your voice.

First follow the steps below to connect all the accounts:

1. Your device need be connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Google device is.

2. Go the Google Home app.

3. Select Account in the top-right.

4. Go back on the home screen, and select + in the top-left, then tap Music and audio.

5. Choose Spotify and select Link Account

6. Log in to your Spotify account.

7. Now you can switch accounts with your voice.

How to Unlink a Spotify Account From Your Google Home:

1. Go to Google Home app, select Account in the top-right.

2. Choose Settings.

3. In the under services section, Select Music.

4. Select UNLINK.

How to Make Spotify the Default Player on Google Home or Google Nest:

By making Spotify the default player, you can eliminate the “on Spotify” from your voice commands. Follow the steps below:

1. Go to Google Home app and select Account in the top-right.

2. Select Settings.

3. In the under services section, Select Music.

4. choose Spotify as the default player for your Google home or Google Nest.

Now your commands can be like this one: “Ok Google, play today’s hits playlist.”

How to Switch off Canvas on Spotify.

There are short and looping visuals on Spotify called Canvas. Canvas only works in tablet/mobile app. If do not want to see Canvas, follow the step to turn it off:

1. In your mobile/tablet go to Spotify app.

2. Select Home.

3. choose Settings.

4. in Playback section, Switch off Canvas.

How to Report a Playlist, Image, or Text on Spotify:

Whenever you find offensive contents or copyright violations that were created or uploaded by another user or artist on Spotify, including a playlist, image, or text, you can report these contents in Spotify app.

To report a content on Spotify desktop app:

1. Below the playlist’s name there are three dots in a circle. Click on the sign and select Report. You will be redirected to the abuse report form.

2. Select the proper topic.

3. Fill out the form and select Submit.

To report a content on Spotify mobile/tablet app:

1. In the playlist or on an artist profile there is a sign in the top-right corner that has three dots.

2. Tap on the sign.

3. Scroll the page and select Report abuse. You will be redirected to the abuse report form.

4. Select the proper topic.

5. Fill out the form and select Submit.

After your report: Spotify will investigate each report on a case-by-case basis and remove any content that is considered inappropriate.
